This was a Challenge! This weapon is not intended to be for a UT3 map. I just wanted to learn how to import custom weapons into UT3. The normal and specular map are just quickly thrown together so it doesn't look to good at the moment :D

The indoor part is mostly done. I have to add guns and other pickups while I also make the Bot navigation. I'm also planning an outdoor part of the level.

Yeah its been a few days from my last update but I've been working hard on this UT3 level. Here are a 2 teasers :D One shows the BSP and the other shows both BSP and static meshes. (Over 500 static meshes!) UT3 Rocks!

UT3 Particle Test

I love UT3's particle system! Unlike the Source engine where you chose from a Very Selective collection of effects you can use in your levels. UT3 gives you FULL control to create almost anything with particles. Never see the same exact fire over and over again! yay :D

The fire room should of had dynamic shadows on the walls with a flicker effect but for some reason ingame it didn't show up. But it did in the editor hmm... And I think I will tweak the smoke from the fire a little more, its hard to see in the video.

Once again this is nothing spectacular but now I have base knowledge of most of Unreal Engine 3's visual scripting language. (Matinee, Kismet, Material Editor, and now I'm working with the particle editor) It should come in handy once I make a real level.

Yep, I've been digging into the material editor for unreal 3, I messed around with making a detail normal map node graph so you dont get blurry textures when you get up close, And I made a lava rock texture.

The past few days I have been messing around with baking out normal maps from High polygon meshes for a low polygon version. Its really a great technique that I will be adding to my workflow. Sorry for the laggyness at the end, I am working on fixing my video card drivers now (which is what was causing the lag)
